PPG to distribute wastewater substrate-repair products from Sauereisen
PPG has reached an agreement to distribute several wastewater infrastructure-repair products manufactured by Sauereisen, a leading global producer of corrosion-resistant materials for industrial applications. Products PPG will offer include RestoKrete™ substrate resurfacer No. F-121, RestoKrete No. 208 filler compound, and RestoKrete No. 209 and No. 209FS filler compounds.

PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at Academy Prep Center
As part of its global community engagement efforts, PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project that helped to brighten and revitalize classrooms at Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition, the PPG Foundation donated $20,000 on behalf of PPG’s architectural coatings business to support the school’s science, technology, engineering and math programs.

PPG completes sale of its ownership interest in PFG Fiber Glass joint ventures
PPG today announced that it has completed the sale of its 50 percent ownership interest in its two PFG Fiber Glass joint ventures (PFG) to Nan Ya Plastics Corp., which owned the other 50 percent interest. Nan Ya is affiliated with Taiwan-based Formosa Plastics Group. PPG received gross proceeds of approximately $170 million from the transaction.

PPG earns R&D 100 Awards for automotive, aerospace electrocoat technologies
PPG today announced that two of its electrocoat (e-coat) technologies have earned 2016 R&D 100 Awards in the mechanical/materials category. ENVIRO-PRIME® EPIC automotive electrocoat (e-coat) featuring a patented organic catalyst and AEROCRON™ 2100 aerospace electrocoat primer are among the 100 most technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year, according to judges for the 54th annual awards.

PPG helps build and paint bicycles for children in Istanbul through COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project
PPG today announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project in Istanbul, Turkey, that provided newly built and painted bicycles to nearly 35 elementary school students, including 15 who are Syrian refugees. The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color and vitality to communities where our company operates around the world, such as in Istanbul.

PPG reaches agreement to acquire Romanian paint and coatings manufacturer DEUTEK
PPG today announced that it has reached an agreement with the Emerging Europe Accession Fund (EEAF) to acquire DEUTEK S.A., a leading Romanian paint and architectural coatings manufacturer. PPG expects the transaction to close in the first quarter 2017, following the receipt of regulatory approvals and satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

PPG marks completion of silica capacity expansion at Delfzijl, Netherlands, plant
PPG today held a ceremony marking the completion of a project to increase precipitated silica production capacity at its Delfzijl, Netherlands, manufacturing location. The expansion, which came on line earlier this year, adds capacity of more than 15,000 tons per year of advanced precipitated silica products.

PPG prices offering of euro-denominated senior notes
PPG announced today that it has priced a public offering of 300 million euros aggregate principal amount of 0.000% notes due 2019 (the “2019 Notes”) at an issue price of 99.632% of the principal amount and 600 million euros aggregate principal amount of 0.875% notes due 2025 (the “2025 Notes” and, together with the 2019 Notes, the “Notes”) at an issue price of 98.836% of the principal amount.
