PPG donates more than $12,000 to support child-focused programs in two Russian communities
PPG has donated $12,100 to help two child-centered organizations in Russia expand their programs and services to area youth. The contributions were made on behalf of the PPG facilities in Lipetsk and Kolomna, Russia.

PPG, which has its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland, recently celebrated the graduation of five students from the Euler Course at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and marked the end of its first year as an official sponsor of the program. The course gives high-potential mathematics students in Switzerland an opportunity to cultivate their talent by taking special mathematics classes at the school.

PPG signs agreement for sale of European fiber glass operations to Nippon Electric Glass
PPG today announced that it has signed an agreement for the sale of its European fiber glass operations to glass manufacturer Nippon Electric Glass Co. Ltd. (NEG). The transaction is subject to completion of employee consultation processes, receipt of regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions. PPG and NEG expect to close the transaction in the second half of 2016.

PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project in Shanghai
As part of its global community engagement efforts, PPG has announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ project in Shanghai that helped to revitalize the fence and campus facilities of Yuyuan Road No.1 Primary School. PPG again supports hands-on science and technology exhibition for children in Gonfreville, France
PPG joined the City of Gonfreville, France, again this year and donated $11,000 to sponsor the community’s annual Science and Technology exhibition for school-age children. The annual interactive exhibition this year featured hands-on activities introducing students to robotics and helping fuel their interest in this growing field.

PPG manufacturing facility in Delaware, Ohio, recognized for recycling program
PPG today announced that its coatings and resins manufacturing facility in Delaware, Ohio, has earned a 2016 Award for Excellence from the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council (OCTC) for a project that increased its recycled materials by 63 percent in 2015, diverting an additional 24 metric tons of materials from the landfill.

PPG paint manufacturing facility in Huron recognized for recycling program
PPG today announced that its paint manufacturing facility in Huron, Ohio, has earned a 2016 Award for Excellence from the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council (OCTC) for its multiyear recycling initiative. The plant recycled 205 metric tons of materials in 2015, a 30 percent increase over the prior year.
