PPG completes COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project in Clayton, Victoria, Australia
PPG Industries today announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES™ charitable-giving project at the site of the soon-to-open Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton, Victoria, Australia. The Colorful Communities program provided PPG employee volunteers and products to bring color to the hospital site along with a team of local primary school students. Launched earlier this year, the program expands PPG’s investment in communities where the company operates around the world by committing an additional $10 million over 10 years.

PPG donates coatings to refurbish iconic Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster
PPG Industries’ (NYSE:PPG) protective and marine coatings (PMC) business announced it is supplying as much as 700 gallons of paint to refurbish the Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster at Luna Park, which is regarded as one of the world’s most famous amusement park rides.

PPG announces leadership changes
PPG Industries today announced the appointment of David Bem as vice president, science and technology, and chief technology officer-elect (CTO-elect) effective Nov. 16. In the CTO role, Bem will succeed Charles F. Kahle II, who has announced plans to retire effective March 1, 2016.

PPG named Influential Company in Coatings Industry by China Coating Industry Association
PPG Industries was recognized by the China Coating Industry Association among Influential Companies in the coatings industry in a ceremony held in Beijing to celebrate the centennial of the coatings industry in China. PPG reports third quarter sales and earnings
PPG Industries today reported third quarter 2015 net sales from continuing operations of $3.87 billion, versus the prior-year figure of $3.94 billion. Net sales in local currencies increased by 6 percent, or approximately $250 million, year-over-year, which included a 7 percent contribution from acquisition-related sales offset by lower sales volume of less than 1 percent. Unfavorable foreign currency translation reduced year-over-year net sales by about 8 percent, or about $310 million.

PPG directors announce quarterly dividend of 36 cents per share

PPG coatings help restore part of historic 1964 World’s Fair pavilion in New York
PPG Industries’ protective and marine coatings (PMC) business announced that more than 2,000 gallons of AMERCOAT® coatings were used to refurbish the “Tent of Tomorrow” at the New York State Pavilion, an historic attraction erected in Queens 51 years ago to celebrate the 1964 World’s Fair.
