PPG at NACE CORROSION 2020

PPG is participating in the CORROSION 2020 Conference & Expo on June 14-18 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Organised by NACE International, the Worldwide Corrosion Authority®, the event welcomes more than 6,000 corrosion and protective coatings professionals from around the globe each year.

As the world's largest gathering of corrosion-fighting professionals, it is the ideal place to connect and exchange knowledge about the industry’s new products, emerging technologies and best practices.

PPG is widely recognised as a global leader in protective coatings. Continuous innovation allows us to offer patented technology that in fewer coats delivers excellent adhesion, toughness and corrosion resistance in various industries and challenging conditions worldwide. We also have systems which are tested and certified to NORSOK and ISO12944 standards.

Visit the PPG team on booth 1235 to learn more about our comprehensive range of corrosion control products and tools, including:

PPG PITT-CHAR® NX

Our next generation flexible intumescent coating system is designed to resist the most severe hydrocarbon hazards. Extremely tough, yet uniquely flexible, PPG PITT-CHAR NX eliminates the risk of cracking and delamination during fabrication, transportation and construction. This toughness provides dependable performance against weathering and outstanding corrosion protection throughout the asset's entire lifetime.

PPG PSX® 700

Formulated with breakthrough technology, PPG PSX 700 proves that you do not need a three-coat system to achieve optimum corrosion resistance, long-term gloss and color retention. With only one coat of zinc primer, plus one coat of PPG PSX 700 you get performance equalling or surpassing that of the finest three-coat systems. Demonstrated applications include bridges, wind turbines, stadiums, water towers, petrochemical tanks and mining assets.

PPG ASSET INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT (PPG AIM)

Launched last year, our innovative software-based asset management system assists facility owners, managers and maintenance engineers in scheduling, budgeting and optimizing the corrosion protection of metal structures, buildings and equipment under their care for up to 20 years into the future. The PPG AIM system is based on proprietary algorithms developed by PPG from NACE® 509 and ISO 12944® corrosion-forecasting standards. Using data collected by PPG personnel during an initial mapping and field assessment procedure, the system predicts how quickly assets will corrode and helps identify the optimal time to recoat those assets before corrosion can occur.
