Specifically designed PPG epoxy, epoxy novalac and phenolic epoxy systems provide the durable protection and long service life needed for tanks carrying a wide variety of cargoes. Key products include PPG NOVAGUARD™ 890LT, our low temperature cure, solvent free tank lining specially developed to provide optimal resistance to new and aggressive fuel mixtures such as biodiesel (B5 to higher grades) and gasoline/ethanol blends up to E100.
High Temperature Resistant Coatings
Designed to withstand extreme high temperatures while also offering protection against corrosion. Key products include PPG HI-TEMP™ 1027 and PPG HI-TEMP™ 900 which prevent Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) of carbon and stainless steel. PPG HI-TEMP™ 1027 also reduces expensive downtime as it can be applied directly to hot substrates.
Hydrocarbon Passive Fire Protection
For over 35 years PPG's fireproofing solutions have been trusted to safeguard personnel and equipment in hazardous environments around the world. PPG PITT CHAR NX, our next generation flexible intumescent coating system, builds on this legacy. Designed to resist the most severe hydrocarbon hazards (pool fires, jet fires and explosions), this patent-pending product offers low thickness, reduced weight and faster application, whilst providing outstanding durability and retaining PPG’s unique flexible PFP technology.
